Center Turning Lane
Marking patterns like the ones shown in the picture may be found on many three-lane highways. The solid yellow centerline means you cannot use the center lane for passing. The broken yellow centerlines show that vehicles traveling in either direction may use the center lane only to make left turns. A two-way left turning lane is a dedicated turn lane, make sure to use it as such.
