The permit test is not just about traffic rules and road signs.  It covers a very wide range of topics, such as parking, speed limits, effects of alcohol on driving, seat belt laws and, not surprisingly, traffic signals, one of the most disregarded subjects on the permit test! Permit applicants study rules, some even look over traffic signs, but almost no one ever studies traffic signals!  Out 2016 Kentucky traffic signals practice test is here to correct that!  Only takes five minutes to complete, save hours on repeat DMV visits!

No one ever studies traffic signals for a good reason - they just look so easy!  Red means stop, green means go, yellow... Well, the meaning of the yellow signal is highly debatable by some drivers, but let's not go into that now.

The reality is that there are other things you are expected to know when it comes to traffic lights and traffic signals.  For example, do you know what's expected of you when the traffic light is not working?  What does a flashing red traffic mean? Can you drive through the railroad crossing if the red lights are flashing, but there is no train in sight and you can't even hear it?  Who has the right-of-way when you are making a left turn under a green arrow?  Our online Kentucky traffic signals quiz was designed to teach you all these things, and it only takes a few minutes to complete!

The practice test consists of 20 multiple choice questions, you need to score at least 16 of them to pass.  Questions are drawn from a large knowledge base and will change every time you take the test, so make sure to take the test more than once (remember, this is a free practice permit test for KY, there is nothing that stops you from taking it multiple times).  All questions are interactive and will show you the right answer immediately.  Feel free to take down any question you may have missed and research the answer in the book!

The drivers manual is what the DMV uses for the real KY permit test.  We do the same thing! All questions are based on the drivers handbook and we make sure to keep them current, if the book changes, so does our Kentucky traffic signals practice permit test!  Having a state-specific practice test also means you can take it regardless of what part of Kentucky you live in! The practice test works great in Louisville, Lexington, Bowling Green and London, it works great all over the state!

And yes, this is a free practice permit test, we don't charge anything and you can work it as much as you want!  The only thing we ask in return is that you share the test with friends on Facebook and Twitter if you like it!  Good luck
