Most driving students can complete a round of questions with this Montana traffic lights test in around five to ten minutes, as it is just 20 questions long. You will be awarded a passing grade if you can answer at least 16 traffic test questions correctly in a single round. If you have been familiarizing yourself with the traffic signals chapter of the study guide, you may be able to achieve this score during your initial attempt at the Montana practice driving test. However, this does not mean you are all set with traffic signals and ready to move on to something else. There are dozens of different lane control lights, railroad crossing lights, warning lights and intersection lights you could be asked about during the Montana DMV test. You cannot be certain that you are 100% ready for the challenge until you have passed this Montana drivers practice test at least five or six times in a row, with a score comfortably above 80%. Every time you re-start the traffic light test it will generate a different set of 20 questions to challenge your knowledge of signals and lights. A first-time pass could just mean you were lucky, whereas consistent passes indicate you are up to speed.

We have added study aids to this Montana traffic signal test, to make sure it is not too intimidating for newer and less confident students. While working through the practice driving test for Montana learners, you can simplify any question by using these study aids to ask for a clue or remove some of the incorrect DMV written test answers. Do not hesitate to use these tools as often as you think is necessary, though keep in mind that there will be no study aids available to you during the real MVD permit test. As we have found our study aids to be extremely successful in helping students to learn faster, we have also included them on many of our other Montana DMV practice tests.

Traffic lights only account for a small number of the questions you will face during the DMV test. Most of the exam paper will focus on road rules and road signs. When you are ready to branch out and include these subjects in your studies, check out the mixed-subject drivers permit practice test for Montana learners we offer. Within our collection we also offer a range of longer tests which more closely mirror the format of the actual DMV test. Prior to taking the real assessment at your local DMV office in Missoula, Billings, Bozeman or elsewhere, make sure you have completed and passed all the quizzes at ePermitTest.com!
